I arrived in New Zealand December ’86 and bought Parkin Glass in Wellington in ’87. Not knowing the industry and jumping in at the deep end was quite an experience but our commitment to giving homeowners and builders quality product and on time service enabled us to grow the business. We lived by the motto of “Doing the Right Thing by the Customer.”
We sold the business in 2002 and I went on to do a number of smaller projects but the “Glass Industry” was in my blood and I re-entered in 2011 joining a national company working B2B. There was always a hankering, however, to work for myself again and In early 2022 I had a number of conversations with my good friend Gary Walden and we decided that it would be great to get back to basics and spend time talking to architects, builders and home owners helping and supporting them to achieve a healthier lifestyle in their homes.
From those conversations WM Windows and Glass was born and we look forward to talking with you in the near future especially regarding the Government's changes to the building code around energy efficiency.

I joined the glass industry in 1984 straight from school and have stayed within the industry ever since. For many years I have had my own business as well as holding senior management roles within some of the larger glass businesses in New Zealand.
The glass industry is one of my passions and I have been involved as a:
• Chair and Committee member of the Glass Association of NZ
• Chair and Committee member of the Insulated Glass Unit Manufacturers Association
• Member of the National Advisory Group for glass at the BCITO
• Board Member with the Window and Glass Association of New Zealand
• Board Member with the Glass and Glazing Institute (where our Glazing Apprentices get trained).
WM Windows and Glass is an opportunity for me to deal directly with homeowners and to pass on my knowledge of glass to help people create a safer, more comfortable home in both Winter and Summer.
